This is a new role for Hawke’s Bay, it puts you right in the theatre in the heart of the action and will put all your senses to the test. You’ll physically experience the realities of the surgical environment as part of the theatre team.

The role would suit an experienced Health Care Assistant looking to broaden their education and skills and join our theatre teams. You’ll work as part of our clinical team to ensure the theatre environment is prepped and ready for patients and help care for patients during their operation.

Contracts and Payroll Coordinator

We’re looking for someone to join our team as soon as possible in the position of Contracts and Payroll Coordinator. This is your opportunity to join Hawke’s Bay’s brand new, private surgical hospital based in Hastings – you won’t get a better chance than this to do things differently.

You’ll work with our Finance Manager to establish payroll processes and the managing of internal and external contracts. We’re looking for someone with extensive payroll experience, who ideally understands the intricacies of a health workforce.

In terms of our contracts, you’ll need to be someone who is details focused with a high level of accuracy and exceptional communication to ensure we are both receiving income from contracts as a provider, and that this is then disbursed to our own service providers.

Patient Hospitality Assistant

About the role

  • Permanent, part or full time positions
  • Two shifts available – 6am – 2.30pm and 11.30 – 8.00pm
  • Positions cover 7 days a week though we can offer flexibility
  • Take control of our high quality dining experience!

This is a hospitality role like no other! We’re looking for people who have an exceptional eye for detail, who understand that presentation is key to a luxury experience and want to ensure our patient’s needs are met beyond expectation. If you’re looking for a change in direction in the hospitality industry, this could be your chance to do something new!

If you’ve worked in hospitality and in particular have been responsible for food presentation and service then you’ll have understand what it is we’re looking for. These positions are mostly sole positions with some crossover in the middle of our busy day. You’ll need to be someone who can work unsupervised and be willing to go the extra mile for our patients and staff.

We’re a small team so your willingness to jump in and do whatever is required to ensure a smooth patient journey is essential.

If you’re a night owl who specifically prefers working overnight shifts then consider joining the newly formed Surgical Ward team at Kaweka Hospital.

We can be flexible with our rosters meaning if you’re preference is nights but you’d like to join the AM or PM shifts from time to time then we can work with that.
